Your legacy - Tu herencia

I recently wrote this within the comments of a blog that belongs to a close friend of mine, who was being attacked while revealing to the world, through his blog, that he is homosexual. This is what I think about this issue and people who attack these fellow human beings:

   There are few things in this world that bother me. Unlike some, I am more annoyed by people who talk out of their ass, than those who use it for pleasure. Some people think that in this world there are absolute truths, in this group are some who think that just because something is written in a book, it has to be a fact. For you, I have some news: there are no facts and ... anyone can write a book. Science does not have the duty to prove anything, science is there to support theories. Proof of this, is that widely supported theories are refuted by science daily, making way for new theories, and yet in this roulette some of us continue convincing ourselves that we know everything. No one here can claim that being homosexual is a disability, hereditary, from birth, parenting, diabolical or holy, good or bad. Although we may sound smart by citing a book, that does not make a statement a fact. Assuming that the presently ignorant and unintelligent people have understood this, we can dismiss all accusations and statements made previously and move on.

   Again, in this world there are no absolute truths, we are not all bad, completely good, completely ignorant (so there is hope) nor completely wise. Because we can change, because we face each unique situation presented to us, in the best way possible given the specific circumstances surrounding it. The world is the color that we see it from our own eyes, nothing more ... nothing less. You are the outcome of the decisions and choices you have made throughout your lives gentlemen, so I ask you: if your decision or your goal in this world is "be born, grow, reproduce and die," don't let hatred be your legacy. For if this be the case, the fruits, which you so proudly produced, will be a waste.

   You create what the world is, not the other way around, and the world changes. If you allow the world to tell you who you are, you will soon be left behind. Enjoy every moment, live your own life, make your own decisions, and keep your head held high while facing obstacles like yourself, because the moment you overcome them you will be better.










Hace poco escribi esto entre los comentarios de un blog de un amigo mio que estaba siendo atacado por revelarle al mundo en ese momento, por medio de su blog, que el es homosexual. Esto es lo que pienso de este tema y de personas que atacan a estos seres humanos:

   
   Hay pocas cosas en este mundo que me molestan. A diferencia de algunos, a mi me molestan mas las personas que hablan con el trasero que las que lo usan por placer. Hay personas que piensan que en este mundo hay verdades absolutas, en este grupo hay unas que piensan que solo porque algo esta escrito en un libro tiene que ser un hecho. A ustedes, les tengo una noticia: no existen los hechos y...cualquiera puede escribir un libro. Las ciencias no tienen el deber de comprobar nada, las ciencias nada mas respaldan teorias. Prueba de esto es que teorias ampliamente respaldadas por las ciencias son refutadas a diario, dando paso a nuevas teorias y aun asi en esta ruleta algunos seguimos convenciendonos que lo sabemos todo. Nadie aqui puede demandar que el ser homosexual es una discapacidad, hereditario, de nacimiento, de crianza, diabolico o santo, bueno o malo. Por mas inteligentes que parezcamos al citar un libro, eso no convierte una declaracion en un hecho. Asumiendo que las personas actualmente ignorantes y poco inteligentes hayan entendido esto, podemos descartar todas las acusaciones y declaraciones hechas anteriormente y seguir adelante.

   
   Repito, en este mundo no hay verdades absolutas, no somos completamente malos, completamente buenos, completamente ignorantes (asi que hay esperanza) ni completamente sabios. Porque podemos cambiar, porque enfrentamos cada situacion unica que se nos presenta, de la mejor manera posible dadas las circumstancias especificas que la rodean. El mundo es del color que lo vemos desde nuestros propios ojos, nada mas...nada menos. Son ustedes el resultado de las decisiones y elecciones que han tomado en sus vidas señores, pues por eso les pido: si su decision o su meta en este mundo es "nacer, crecer, reproducir y morir," pues que la herencia que dejen no sea el odio. Ya que si este sera el caso, sus frutos, que tan orgullosos produjeron, seran un desperdicio.

   
   Tu creas lo que es el mundo, no alreves, y el mundo cambia. Si permites que el mundo presente te diga quien eres, muy pronto quedaras atras.
Disfruta cada momento, vive tu propia vida, toma tus propias decisiones, y manten tu frente alzada al enfrentar obstaculos como ti mismo, ya que al haberlos superado seras mas grande que ellos.
